LEADER AND PARENT INFORMATION:

  • All units must have a camping reservation – Click here to go directly to our camping application form.

  • This event is open to the scouts with your units and adults but participation slots are limited. This training can give you a taste of what Civil War Reenacting is like and a few Reenacting units will be onsite if you have questions or are interested in exploring more.

  • Camping and participation in the event are 2 separate fees. Camping is $25 per person while event participation costs $50 (this DOES NOT include the camping fee).

  • Total cost for a PARTICIPANT is $75. Total cost for a Chaperone that IS NOT participating in the event is $25. All attending youth must be participating.

  • Check-in is Friday, April 17th. Your unit will be assigned to either the US or CS army at check-in. Each army’s camp is in a different location.

  • For safety reasons, as of 8:00am on Saturday morning, no cars will be allowed to be moving on the farm.

  • Each participant will be issued a haversack with a few souvenir items, a cloth kepi corresponding to their assigned army, and a patch.

  • A gift shop with Daniel Lady Farm souvenirs will be available. Wooden rifles will be for sale online soon.

  • If your scout is a returning participant who purchased a rifle in the past or has a Civil War style toy rifle, feel free to bring it with you. NO MODERN-STYLE RIFLES WILL BE ALLOWED. Please be sure to mark it in some way that identifies it as belonging to your scout. GBPA is not responsible for lost or broken rifles.

  • Participants are not required to bring or purchase a rifle as GBPA has wooden rifles to loan for the event. These rifles will be collected after Sunday’s battle.

  • Due to various dietary restrictions, each unit will be responsible for its own meals/food for the weekend. We will have a commissary that will be open and S’mores and snacks will be offered free at Saturday night’s bonfire.

  • This event is rain or shine.
